Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mario Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salazar closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hammer did well to prevent Salazar getting side control.
Salazar wants to control but Hammer is keeping him busy.
Salazar is trying to work for a kimura but Hammer is defending well.
Salazar is looking for a kimura but Hammer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Salazar to get the leverage.
Salazar looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Salazar wants to take a breather but Hammer is having none of it.

Salazar is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hammer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Salazar on the ground.

Salazar is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hammer is just riding it out for now. Salazar eventually gives up the hold.
Salazar content to control rather than advance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Salazar is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hammer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Salazar.
Salazar seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hammer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Salazar is just content to waste time from the top position. Hammer takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hammer throws a combination that misses
and Salazar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Salazar throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Salazar takes a swing at Hammer's ribcage but misses.
Salazar throws the left hand but Hammer avoids the punch easily.
Hammer looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Salazar swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hammer misses with a two punch combination.
Salazar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hammer's waist but Hammer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salazar off to one side.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Mario Hammer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hammer scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Salazar swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hammer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Salazar circles away quickly and effectively.
Hammer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Salazar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Hammer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Hammer connects with a right hand. Salazar shakes it off.

and Salazar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Salazar showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hammer.
Salazar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hammer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Salazar is working to tighten is grip on Hammer's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hammer has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Salazar is really squeezing tight and eventually Hammer passes out! Salazar breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
