Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andy Allanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harrison King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Allanson's entrance music is Tribe Called Quest - Can I Kick It?. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Allanson walks into a stiff left hand from King. Allanson throws a nice inside leg kick. Allanson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Allanson. Allanson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A big right from King misses. Allanson throws a series of punches but King avoids them all with ease. King throws a shot from downtown. Allanson moves away and avoids it. King thumps Allanson with a low kick. King loads up on a big right hand but Allanson slips the punch. Allanson misses with a low kick.
King checks a leg kick. Allanson wants to clinch up but King keeps it at a distance. King bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Allanson's head backwards. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Allanson tries to clinch and King connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Allanson is rocked! King throws out a loose jab but Allanson uses good head movement to avoid it. King throws a hook to the side of Allanson's head but Allanson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Allanson misses with a right hand and King counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Allanson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before King has time to react. King throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

King not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Allanson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. King is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. King thows a huge punch but Allanson dodges it nicely.
Allanson is refusing to be controlled, as King sits in half guard. King stops Allanson from getting back to his feet.
