Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gabriel Akamoah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mick Griffin! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akamoah misses with a double jab.
Griffin closes the distance and clinches. Akamoah is trying to break the clinch but Griffin has him pressed against the cage. Akamoah wants to get back to striking at distance but Griffin won't allow it.

Akamoah is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Griffin tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Akamoah smiles and moves away.
Akamoah will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A punch combination from Akamoah misses. Akamoah throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Griffin scores with a takedown into Akamoah's guard. Griffin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Akamoah being controlled here, momentarily. Griffin wants to control from the top but Akamoah keeps moving. Griffin wants to pass the guard but Akamoah is keeping the position. Akamoah looking to hit a scissor sweep but Griffin is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Griffin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Griffin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Akamoah wants to stand but Griffin is controlling the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Griffin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Akamoah throws a one two combo.
It looks like Mick Griffin has been cut. Akamoah lands a lovely overhand right. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Akamoah drops Griffin with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Griffin! Akamoah dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gabriel Akamoah!
