Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marek Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephan Evurts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evurts is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Welcome to the Jungle. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marek Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stephan Evurts! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunter throws a body kick the misses and Evurts counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Hunter gets a clinch. Hunter tries a body shot but Evurts blocks it.
Evurts has Hunter pressed against the ropes, preventing Hunter from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Evurts escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hunter closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Hunter is trying to force a seperation but Evurts has the dominant position. Evurts has hold of one of Hunter's legs. Hunter is fighting the takedown attempt but Evurts gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Hunter is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Evurts won't allow Hunter to get back to his feet.
We're going to have a standup here because Marek Hunter wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Hunter misses with a lunging right hand
and Evurts counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter punishes Evurts's body with a nice straight punch. Hunter misses with a kick to the body and Evurts counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Hunter closes the distance looking to clinch and Evurts counters with a straight right hand. Hunter misses with a shot to the body and Evurts cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hunter misses with a double jab
enabling Evurts to counter with a crisp jab. Horrible takedown by Evurts or perhaps it was just good defense by Hunter which made him look bad. Hunter tries to clinch and Evurts makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Hunter throws a left and a right that both miss
and Evurts counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hunter wants to clinch but Evurts slips to the side and Evurts counters with a lovely shot to the body. Evurts scores with a leg kick.
Hunter misses with a combination
and Evurts counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Evurts. Evurts pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter misses with a body punch
and Evurts counters with a stiff right hand. Hunter with a poor takedown and Evurts counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hunter thinking. Marek Hunter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hunter is breathing heavily. Hunter slaps away a takedown attempt from Evurts, before circling back to the center of the mat. Evurts fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hunter, pushing him back against the ropes. Evurts manages to break the clinch.
Hunter throws a sloppy head kick and Evurts counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Evurts moves into the clinch. Hunter swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hunter trying to control the position but instead, Evurts has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hunter into the ropes. Evurts breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Evurts gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Hunter is not content to let Evurts control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Evurts lands a few punches from side control. Evurts cracks Hunter with a big elbow. Hunter is looking for a sweep. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Evurts. Hunter is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Evurts is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hunter is trying to escape and Evurts transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hunter is forced to tap! Nice work there by Evurts! Very nice indeed!
