Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Igor Knokimoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Raouf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alan Raouf! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knokimoff shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Knokimoff takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Raouf misses with a right hand and Knokimoff counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Knokimoff. Raouf is working an open guard so Knokimoff takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Knokimoff misses with a takedown attempt and Raouf counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Knokimoff tries for a takedown but Raouf circles away easily and Raouf counters with a leg kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Igor Knokimoff. That's going to take a lot out of him. Raouf scores with a slapping inside leg kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Knokimoff shoots in for a double leg but Raouf sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Raouf tries to clinch up but Knokimoff circles away and keeps his distance. Raouf throws a left and a right that both miss
and Knokimoff counters with a shoot takedown. Raouf fights it but they end up in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Knokimoff won't allow Raouf to get back to his feet. Raouf looking to control but Knokimoff passes into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Raouf wants to control but Knokimoff is keeping busy and won't allow it. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Knokimoff blocks the strikes from Raouf.

Igor Knokimoff has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Knokimoff closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Knokimoff lands in his opponent's guard. Raouf trying to keep a closed guard but Knokimoff is proving a slippery customer.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Raouf wants to control from the top but Knokimoff keeps moving. Knokimoff looking for a triangle here. Raouf is fighting it but it looks tight! Knokimoff pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Raouf is tapping out - this one is all over!
