The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Kosarev.
Kosarev tries for a kimura but Shaddix is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Shaddix tries to buck Kosarev off but Kosarev is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kosarev takes a little break here. Shaddix wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Kosarev is working Shaddix over with some ground and pound from side control.
Kosarev stands up.
ilia Kosarev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shaddix gets caught flat footed, as Kosarev shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Shaddix is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kosarev not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Shaddix has his foot on Kosarev's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kosarev works his way back into a safe position though.
Kosarev is stalling in the full guard.
Shaddix is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kosarev lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Shaddix has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Kosarev should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Shaddix has tightened it up now! Kosarev should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
