Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Danko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ilkka Kanerva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Danko might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Red army choir - Soviet army song. Ivan Danko has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanerva throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kanerva throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Danko scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Ilkka Kanerva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That kick from Danko tenderised Kanerva's leg. Kanerva is trying to keep his angry face on.
Danko misses with a straight right.
A solid leg kick lands there for Danko.
Kanerva connects with a nice looking jab.
Danko throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kanerva on the side of the head.
A left and a right from Danko both land. Nice combination.
Danko throws a big shot that misses.
Danko thumps Kanerva with a low kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Danko misses with a looping right.
Kanerva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Danko thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kanerva if he has to take too many more of those.
Kanerva looks gassed!
Danko punishes Kanerva's body with a nice straight punch.
Danko throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Danko cracks the inside of Kanerva's front leg.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Danko's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kanerva under the eye.
Danko clobbers Kanerva with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Ilkka Kanerva has been cut.
Danko is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Danko jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kanerva looks up at the clock. Bad move! Danko lands a right hand from hell, dropping Kanerva. Danko pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivan Danko!
