9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ricky Ross! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.

England throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ross cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like John England has been cut. A lazy body kick from England and Ross counters with a stiff right hand. England is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ross. England smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

It looks like Ricky Ross has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! England misses with a hook
and Ross counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ross shoots in and bounces England off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ross throws a strike but England rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. England's corner is telling him to maintain position. Ross looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

England gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ross. England misses with a right hand letting Ross counter with a right hand. John England is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Some bone on bone action there as England checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. England swings for the body but Ross moves out of range.
Ross works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! England throws a lazy uppercut
and Ross cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. An inside leg kick lands from Ross. England misses with a left hand and Ross counters with a stiff right hand. England is breathing heavily. England throws a right hand that misses
and Ross counters with a crisp right that sends England to the canvas! Ross follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ricky Ross!
