Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alistair Ubereem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chuck Liddell! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ubereem.

and Liddell counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Ubereem tries to kick Liddell off but Liddell keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Liddell trying to control from half guard but Ubereem is working away. Liddell has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Liddell tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Liddell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Can Ubereem hold on?! Liddell is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Liddell gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Liddell misses with punches from the back. Ubereem is breathing heavily. Liddell is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Ubereem is defending well though. Liddell let's go of the attempt for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Liddell tries to get the hooks in deep but Ubereem pushed the leg off. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Liddell throwing sloppy strikes. A lull in the action here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Liddell shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ubereem but Ubereem pushes him off and we're back to square one. Alistair Ubereem is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ubereem throws a combination that misses and Liddell counters with a big head kick but Ubereem shrugs it off. Sloppy strikes from Ubereem. Those never looked like landing. Liddell misses with a series of wild punches.
Ubereem stuffs the takedown. Liddell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ubereem is fending him off so far but Liddell persists. Nope, Ubereem circles away and we're back to standing. Liddell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ubereem swivels and escapes. Ubereem misses with the combination.

and Liddell counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Liddell tries to break the clinch but Ubereem is controlling the position. Liddell looks to throw an elbow but misses. Liddell wants to stall.

A close second round but Chuck Liddell will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Ubereem rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Liddell moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ubereem leaves Liddell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ubereem misses with a two punch combination.

Liddell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ubereem tries to avoid it but Liddell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ubereem to the ground. Ubereem escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Liddell will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ubereem misses with a hook. Ubereem avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ubereem stuffs the takedown attempt from Liddell. Liddell gets slowly back to his feet. Liddell misses with the combination.

Alistair Ubereem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Liddell feints and then cracks Ubereem's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ubereem down. Liddell wants to clinch up but Ubereem keeps it at a distance. Ubereem throws out a loose jab but Liddell uses good head movement to avoid it. Ubereem tries to bum rush Liddell with a series of wild strikes but Liddell uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ubereem keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Liddell dives in and grabs Ubereem's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ubereem pushes down on Liddell's head and hops out. Liddell is looking to chop away at Ubereem's legs.
