Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Prevost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barney Farnum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farnum shoots in for a takedown but Prevost shows good takedown defense.

Farnum gets caught flat footed, as Prevost shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Farnum wants to sweep here but Prevost controlling him for the moment.
Farnum is controlling Prevost's posture.
Prevost pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Farnum is keeping the position for now.
Farnum controls Prevost momentarily but Prevost frees himself.
Prevost wants to control from the top but Farnum keeps moving.
Farnum wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Farnum misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Farnum is looking to control Prevost's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Farnum avoid being mounted?

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Farnum tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Prevost checks the leg kick nicely there.

Prevost looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Farnum!

Prevost swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Farnum is now in Prevost's guard. A big mistake from Prevost there, giving up the dominant position!
Prevost is breathing heavily.

Farnum decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Prevost, up you get!
Farnum doesn't manage to clinch there - Prevost circles away.
Farnum throws a low kick but Prevost avoids it.

Prevost wants to lay and pray for a moment but Farnum keeps working.
Farnum wants to get back to his feet.

Farnum looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Prevost wants to get back to full guard.
Prevost is trying to maintain the position but Farnum is very close to passing his half guard.

Prevost sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Prevost flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Prevost is looking to get back to full guard here but Farnum has managed to pass to side control instead.
Prevost bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Prevost stands and throws Farnum's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Prevost goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Farnum has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Prevost but great work by Farnum.

Farnum tries to escape but Prevost has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Prevost cracks Farnum with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Farnum from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Farnum just trying to survive but Prevost is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Prevost wants to control but Farnum is keeping busy.

Prevost is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Farnum has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Prevost has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Farnum taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Prevost doesn't care though - he's delighted!
