Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wacko Warner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lee Leeson! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Warner swings for the body but Leeson moves out of range.
Leeson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Leeson throws a right hand that misses
and Warner counters with a stiff right hand. Leeson thows a body shot but no joy. Leeson lands a slapping body shot.
Leeson throws a poor cross that misses
and Warner counters with a lovely straight right hand! Leeson throws a lazy uppercut
and Warner connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Warner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Leeson lands with a nice body punch. Leeson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Leeson throws a shot to the body.
A big left from Warner misses. Leeson tests Warner's chin there with a solid looking shot. Leeson connects with a body shot. Warner throws an off balance right hand
and Leeson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Warner avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice uppercut lands for Leeson. That snapped Warner's head back.

A big left from Warner misses. Lee Leeson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Leeson looks to throw the jab but Warner is out of range. Warner on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Warner fails to land with a series of punches.

and Warner counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Leeson's guard now. Warner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Warner wants to control from the top but Leeson keeps moving. Leeson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Warner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Leeson trying to keep a closed guard but Warner is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Leeson wants to sweep but no luck. Warner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Warner with a flurry of punches that miss. Warner looking to pass the guard. Warner is working hard here to advance position. Warner working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Leeson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Warner trying to control but Leeson is working from the bottom. Leeson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Warner wants to control from the top but Leeson keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Warner thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Warner is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Leeson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Leeson is trying to control the position but Warner postures up. Leeson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Warner trying to control but Leeson is working from the bottom. Warner is really struggling to control Leeson but he's trying to hold on to the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Warner working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Warner missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Warner looking to sit in guard and control but Leeson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Leeson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Warner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Leeson circles away quickly and effectively. Leeson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Warner to counter with a crisp jab. Leeson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. A big right from Warner misses. Leeson swings widly with a right hand

and Warner counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Leeson's guard now. Warner postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Warner wants to control from the top but Leeson keeps moving. Warner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Leeson looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Leeson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Warner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Warner thows a big elbow that misses. Leeson wants to hit a switch here but Warner passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Leeson there! Warner misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Warner trying to control the pace. Warner thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Leeson's head. Warner thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Warner is keen to just control but Leeson is a slippery customer. Leeson is looking for a sweep. Warner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Warner trying to pass the guard but Leeson defending well. Leeson trying to control from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Warner seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Well, if Warner is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Leeson wants to control but Warner is keeping busy and won't allow it. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Leeson wants to get back to full guard. Leeson is refusing to be controlled, as Warner sits in half guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Warner connects with a body shot that sends Leeson's belly button to the back. Leeson throws a poor cross that misses
and Warner makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leeson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Warner counters with a shoot takedown. Leeson fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Warner preventing the sweep. Warner trying to control but Leeson is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wacko Warner dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Warner throws a right and a left that both miss. Leeson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Leeson looks to score with a jab to the body but Warner is just out of range. Warner scores with a jab. Leeson acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Warner connects with the punch. Leeson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Leeson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Warner back to the cage. Leeson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Warner moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Nice defenses there by Warner. Leeson swings widly with a right hand
and Leeson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Warner walks into a straight right hand from Leeson. A shot to the body from Leeson misses and Warner finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

and Warner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Leeson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Warner counters with a nice uppercut. Leeson misses with a lunging right hand

and Warner counters with a one-two to the body. Lee Leeson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Leeson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Wacko Warner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Leeson throws a hook to the side of Warner's head but Warner sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Warner looks to score with a jab to the body but Leeson is just out of range.

and Warner counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Warner. Wacko Warner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Leeson looking for a sweep. Not yet Leeson, not yet. Warner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Leeson is keeping the position for now. Leeson controlling Warner's posture. Warner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Warner loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

And that's the end of the fight! Wacko Warner showed his dominance in that final round. Well Warner has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
