Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Poppin Thangs!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thangs throws a leg kick
and Dent counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Thangs.
Thangs misses with a telegraphed body shot
enabling Dent to counter with a crisp jab.
Dent throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Thangs stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Dent counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Thangs working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dent.
Dent has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dent loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Dent wants to pass the guard but Thangs is keeping the position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thangs can do anything to dispel that myth.

Dent wants to work for an arm triangle but Thangs is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dent cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Dent sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Dent throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Thangs because Dent loaded up on that one.

Dent lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Poppin Thangs's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
