Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Franck Pompi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amare Behranu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pompi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is French National Anthem. Behranu is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ethiopian National Anthem. Franck Pompi has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pompi tries for a takedown but Behranu circles away easily
and Pompi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Pompi misses with a takedown attempt
and Behranu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franck Pompi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Behranu enables Pompi to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Behranu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Pompi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Behranu is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Behranu has escaped and now he's on top!
Pompi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Behranu defends well.
Behranu trying to control the position from guard on top but Pompi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pompi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Behranu controls the pace.

Pompi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pompi is looking to sinch up a triangle. Behranu throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Pompi's body to avoid the submission. Pompi has instead reached around Behranu's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Pompi arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
