Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hayden Caesar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Royce Gracie! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caesar misses with a wild combination.
Caesar will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Caesar tries to clinch but Gracie moves away and Gracie counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Caesar wants to clinch and Gracie cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Caesar tries to clinch and Gracie counters with a straight right hand. Gracie has his takedown stuffed and Caesar counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Caesar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Caesar wants to clinch but Gracie slips to the side and Gracie counters with a single leg into guard. Caesar didn't expect that. Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Caesar is retaining full guard. Gracie prevents Caesar from getting back to his feet. Caesar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground. Caesar throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

That's one minute gone in the round. Caesar wants to stand and escape but Gracie is having none of it. Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gracie passes easily into side control. Nice work. Gracie is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Caesar is trying to escape and Gracie transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Caesar is forced to tap! Nice work there by Gracie! Very nice indeed!
