Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Scott Floyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diamonte Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Floyd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Diamonte Perry! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perry tries to bum rush Floyd with a series of wild strikes but Floyd uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Perry tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Floyd cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Floyd circles away from the clinch attempt and Floyd counters with a stiff right hand. No luck for Floyd with that takedown attempt. Floyd shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Perry sprawls well. Perry wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Floyd gets slowly back to his feet. Floyd tries to score a power double leg takedown but Perry sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Floyd somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Floyd. That's going to take a lot out of him. Perry misses with a two punch combination.
Diamonte Perry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Floyd has managed to clinch.
Floyd is trying to drag Perry to the mat but Perry just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Floyd can't get the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Still in the clinch, Perry scores with a nice short uppercut. Floyd is breathing heavily. Perry wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Perry is trying to stall.
Perry drags the fight down to the ground.
Perry trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Floyd stopping the sweep attempt from Perry. Floyd stops Perry from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Floyd wants to control from the top but Perry keeps moving. Perry wants to stand and escape but Floyd is having none of it. Perry wants to sweep here but Floyd controlling him for the moment. Floyd prevents Perry from getting back to his feet. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Perry keeping moving, preventing Floyd from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Scott Floyd. Perry tries to close the distance and clinch up but Floyd swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Floyd changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Perry looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Perry wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Floyd scores with punches from side control. Perry is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Floyd slows the pace down. Floyd cracks Perry with a big right hand but Perry just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Perry is letting Floyd control him for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Perry is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Floyd cracks Perry with a big elbow. Floyd remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Perry takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Floyd is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Perry has escaped the position, nice work there. Floyd controls the position. Perry wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Floyd cracks Perry with a big right hand but Perry just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Floyd wants to control but Perry is keeping him busy. Floyd tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Perry is trying to control Floyd's posture but Floyd avoids it. Perry is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Floyd has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Perry tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scott Floyd dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Perry gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Perry will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Perry avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Floyd wants to control from the top but Perry keeps moving. Floyd with a flurry of punches that miss. Perry wants to stand and escape but Floyd is having none of it. Perry manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Perry closes the distance looking to clinch and Floyd moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Floyd tightens his grip and picks Perry up, before dumping him to the ground. Perry manages to land in guard. Floyd trying to control the position from guard on top but Perry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Floyd stands and throws Perry's legs to the side, diving into side control. Perry is pushing Floyd's head away, looking to escape. Floyd manages to hold on to the position though. Floyd lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Floyd wants to lay and pray for a moment but Perry keeps working. Floyd cracks Perry with a big right hand but Perry just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Perry struggling a bit here. Perry is pushing Floyd's head away, looking to escape. Floyd manages to hold on to the position though. Floyd stands up and we're back to a striking position. Perry lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Floyd backs up against the cage.
Scott Floyd is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Perry rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Floyd moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nice sprawl there from Perry as Floyd shoots in. Perry feints and as Floyd raises his hands in defense, Perry changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Floyd looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Floyd has his foot on Perry's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Perry works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perry avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Floyd is pulling down on Perry's head. It's preventing any offense from Perry, at least for the moment. Perry would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Perry is looking to work some ground and pound but Floyd has wrist control. Floyd has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Perry can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Floyd wants to improve his position but instead Perry has moved into half guard.

Floyd slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Floyd is controlling Perry's posture. Floyd had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Perry defends it easily. Floyd shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Perry manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Floyd trying to control but Perry is working from the bottom. Floyd stays in close to Perry's body and controls the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Perry lands a decent punch to the body there. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Perry not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Floyd tries to free his leg and advance position but Perry is retaining full guard. Floyd trying to control the position from guard on top but Perry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Floyd won't allow Perry to get back to his feet. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Perry throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
We're going to have a standup here because Scott Floyd wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Floyd showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Perry.
Floyd drives through with a takedown into guard. Floyd is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Floyd prevents Perry from getting back to his feet. Floyd wants to pass the guard but Perry is keeping the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Perry wants to stand and escape but Floyd is having none of it. Floyd is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Scott Floyd just wasn't active enough. Floyd has a takedown stuffed. Sloppy strikes from Perry. Those never looked like landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Perry misses with a double jab

Floyd looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Floyd is pressing down on Perry's thigh, looking to free his foot. Perry is holding on for now. Floyd lands with a punch from half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Scott Floyd showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Floyd, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
