Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Gontier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antoni Hardonk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gontier comes to the cage accompanied by Three Days Grace - Break. Hardonk has chosen Requiem for a dream as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam Gontier! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Antoni Hardonk! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hardonk tries to clinch but Gontier is having none of it. Gontier darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Gontier scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
It looks like Antoni Hardonk has been cut. Hardonk is looking to escape. Gontier is working for a submission of some sort.
Gontier moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Hardonk. Gontier is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hardonk knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Gontier working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's one minute gone in the round. Gontier is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hardonk is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Gontier tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gontier has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hardonk wants to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gontier thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Gontier tries for a kimura but Hardonk is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hardonk taking a bit of punishment here - Gontier scoring with strikes.
That has opened up Antoni Hardonk's cut even more. Hardonk wants to get back to his feet but Gontier drags him back down. Hardonk looks gassed! Gontier is working Hardonk over with some ground and pound from side control. Gontier wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hardonk keeps working. Hardonk is trying to buck Gontier off. Gontier tries for a kimura but Hardonk is defending well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gontier is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hardonk has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gontier creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Gontier lands a decent elbow from side control.
The cut above Antoni Hardonk's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Antoni Hardonk's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Adam Gontier! Adam Gontier retains his heavyweight title!
