Powers is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Gunn can't fight it off and eventually Powers manages to take the fight to the floor. Gunn looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Powers connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Gunn some visible discomfort.

Gunn parries the strikes from Powers easily there. Powers is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Gunn to escape.
Powers is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gunn has escaped the position, nice work there.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Powers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gunn drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Powers manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gunn has Powers in his guard.
Gunn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Powers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Powersis looking to pass into half guard but Gunn pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Gunn is in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Powers is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Powers has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Gunn drops back, looking for a kneebar! Powers looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Powers looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Powers!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Powers thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gunn's head.

Powers will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Gunn is looking to control Powers's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gunn avoid being mounted?

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Powers, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
