And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gravy Train!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Train misses with a double jab
and Lamotta counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Train on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Lamotta throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Train tries for a takedown but Lamotta circles away easily
and Lamotta counters with a nice leg kick.

and Lamotta counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Lamotta lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Lamotta tries to bum rush Train with a series of wild strikes but Train uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lamotta stalks Train and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Train's face. Train staggers backwards, shaken.

and Lamotta cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Lamotta fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Train has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Gravy Train seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Lamotta counters with a stiff right hand.

Train chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lamotta can pounce on him.

Lamotta lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Train backs up against the cage.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Train crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lamotta - the referee stops the clock and Train gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lamotta. Train manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Lamotta dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Train. That did some damage!

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Train might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Lamotta has got the better of the exchanges.
