Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grou Winderwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Darko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mac Darko is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Winderwell accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Darko is looking to take a break and control but Winderwell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Winderwell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Darko on the ground.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Darko. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Darko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Winderwell avoids it really well and circles away.

Darko looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Winderwell with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Darko working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Darko is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Winderwell is trying to maintain the position but Darko is very close to passing his half guard.
Darko seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Darko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
