Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Zangief (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Molotov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roman Molotov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Molotov shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Zangief eats them both and turns towards Molotov to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Ivan Zangief has been cut.

and Zangief counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Roman Molotov has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Molotov leaves Zangief with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Zangief counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Molotov is rocked!

Zangief will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Zangief slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Zangief has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Zangief's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Zangief drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Zangief seems to have locked his on tight now - Molotov screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Zangief, as he picks up the win!
