Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andy Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hakeem Alaju Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murray comes into the arena with Go Square Go blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Andy Murray has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andy Murray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hakeem Alaju Dong! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murray tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Murray stuffs the takedown. Dong takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Murray waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Dong. Murray pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Dong fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Dong gets a takedown into half guard. Murray is refusing to be controlled, as Dong sits in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Murray wants to control but Dong is keeping busy and won't allow it. Dong is taking a breather. Murray says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Murray wants to improve his position but Dong is controlling well.
Dong is stalling here. Murray is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Dong seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Murray has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dong is trying to get back to half guard. Murray tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Murray is looking to take a break and control but Dong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Murray knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dong on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Good leg kick by Murray there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Murray doesn't succeed with the takedown so Dong counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Murray is keeping the position for now. Dong throwing strikes from guard but Murray blocks nicely. Dong would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murray is trying to control the position but Dong postures up. Murray keeping moving, preventing Dong from controlling successfully. Dong looks gassed! Murray pulls Dong in close to prevent any damage.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Murray throws a good cross that connects.
Murray tries a head kick but it misses.
Andy Murray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick misses from Murray. Murray throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Dong moves out of range of the leg kick from Murray. Murray misses with a low kick.
Murray looks for the body kick but Dong saw that one coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murray cracks the inside of Dong's front leg. Good leg kick by Murray there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Murray throws a chopping leg kick but Dong manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Murray connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Dong fails with a takedown attempt. Andy Murray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hakeem Alaju Dong. Murray rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dong moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Murray throws a leg kick but Dong moved away. Murray throws a right hand that Dong ducks under and follows up with a left that Dong also avoids with ease. Murray throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Hakeem Alaju Dong has been cut. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Murray.
Murray lands a high kick!
Murray misses with a head kick.
Dong decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dong is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Murray has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dong seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Murray is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
