Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Hickey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hickey comes into a darkened arena with his song building. In The Ghetto kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Chris Carwin has the better chin. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Carwin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Earl Hickey! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Anthony Taglia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hickey has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Carwin stuffs the takedown. Earl Hickey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hickey shoots in but no luck this time. Hickey shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carwin sprawls well. Carwin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hickey gets slowly back to his feet. Chris Carwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Earl Hickey. Hickey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carwin's waist but Carwin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hickey off to one side. Carwin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hickey. Carwin misses with a jab, cross combination.

Hickey doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Carwin counter with a right hand. Carwin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carwin wants it to stay on the feet. Hickey looks gassed! Hickey fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Carwin moves into range and clinches up with Hickey. Carwin throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hickeys head. Carwin scores with a nice hook to the head. A short right from Carwin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwin creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Hickey's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Hickey drops to his knees and Carwin pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Carwin!
