Roy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: "Wake Up" by Rage Against The Machine. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

diaz scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

diaz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Roy had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. diaz is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Roy Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take diaz's back instead.
Roy doesn't have the hooks in and diaz manages to turn into his guard.
Roy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. diaz manages to get himself to full guard.

Roy lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear diaz down.
