Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Bova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Guy Cascarino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony Bova!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Anthony Guy Cascarino!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bova shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cascarino as he avoids it easily.
Cascarino looks to land a right hand but Bova moved out of range.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cascarino.
Cascarino scores with a sloppy right hand. Bova should have avoided that one.
Cascarino throws a left and a right that both miss

and Bova counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Cascarino is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bova drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bova jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Cascarino working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bova doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bova manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cascarino is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Cascarino has momentary wrist control but Bova slips an elbow through the middle.
Bova would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bova postures up in Cascarino's guard and throws a big left but Cascarino blocks it.

Cascarino escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bova gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Cascarino has hold of Bova's hands but Bova slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.


It looks like Anthony Guy Cascarino has been cut.

Bova seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cascarino does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Bova takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Bova wants to control but Cascarino is keeping him busy.
Cascarino makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cascarino.

Bova avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bova wants to control from the top but Cascarino keeps moving.

Bova would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Cascarino throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bova uses it to pass to side control.

Bova wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cascarino, who protects the arm well.
Cascarino manages to work his way to half guard, despite Bova's best efforts.
Cascarino is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bova has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Cascarino defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bova.
Cascarino throws a low kick, looking for Bova's leg but Bova calmly moves out of range.
Anthony Bova seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bova tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cascarino sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bova somewhat.
Bova shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Bova. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cascarino is looking to score with low kicks.
Cascarino throws a body punch but Bova moves out of range.

and Cascarino counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bova thinking.
Bova fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cascarino avoids it really well and circles away.
Bova wants to clinch up but Cascarino keeps it at a distance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cascarino avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Bova shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cascarino as he avoids it easily.

and Bova counters with a shoot takedown. Cascarino fights it but they end up in guard.

Bova is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Cascarino has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bova is looking to defend but Cascarino has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bova! Cascarino pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bova taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Anthony Guy Cascarino!
