Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Befor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonas Galdikas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belfort comes into the arena with Finch - Letters To You blaring out of the sound system. Jonas Galdikas has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonas Galdikas!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galdikas throws a body punch but Belfort moves out of range.
Belfort tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Belfort is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Galdikas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Belfort.

and Galdikas counters with a shoot takedown. Belfort fights it but they end up in guard.
Belfort is looking to sweep but instead, Galdikas has passed into half guard.

Belfort knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Galdikas on the ground.

Belfort is refusing to be controlled, as Galdikas sits in half guard.

Belfort is staying active underneath Galdikas, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Galdikas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Galdikas in particular looking to stall.
Belfort wants to control but Galdikas is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Galdikas's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Galdikas cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jonas Galdikas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Galdikas throws a lazy right hand but Belfort sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A slow jab from Galdikas misses its intended target.
Belfort doesn't manage to clinch there - Galdikas circles away.

Belfort gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Galdikas to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Galdikas is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Galdikas postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Belfort looks a forlorn figure.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Galdikas lands a big elbow - Belfort is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Belfort is forced to tap out!
