Dos Santos tries to kick Potter off but Potter keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Potter looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Potter is trying to control. Dos Santos wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Potter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Potter wants to pass the guard but Dos Santos is defending well.
Potter is trying to control the action in half guard but Dos Santos is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Potter working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Dos Santos is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Potter wants to control the pace but Dos Santos is squirming around nicely.

Potter wants to take his opponent's back but Dos Santos doesn't allow it.
Potter jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Dos Santos manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Dos Santos is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Potter asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Dos Santos is breathing heavily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Potter sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Dos Santos is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Potter is looking to take a break and control but Dos Santos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dos Santos throws Potter to one side and escapes!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Junior Dos Santos dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Dos Santos throws a left and a right that both miss
and Potter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dos Santos won't be happy with that.
Potter has an Americana. Dos Santos didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Potter is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Potter hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
