Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nemesio Meteo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xander Lagos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xander Lagos told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nemesio Meteo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Xander Lagos! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meteo lands with a kick to the temple. Lagos shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Lagos takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lagos throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Meteo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lagos is in Meteo's guard. Lagos content to stall in guard here. Lagos wants to pass the guard but Meteo is keeping the position. Meteo is looking to stand up but Lagos isn't so interested in that idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Meteo closes the distance looking to clinch and Lagos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Meteo keeping full guard, as Lagos tries to pass. Lagos pushing down on Meteo's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Lagos is thwarting Meteo's attempts to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lagos throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Meteo wants to control but Lagos passes into side.
Meteo is looking to reverse the position. Lagos is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Meteo will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Meteo prevents Lagos from improving position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lagos working away. Lagos has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Lagos shoots in and bounces Meteo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Meteo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lagos is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meteo is trying to control the position but Lagos postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Xander Lagos dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lagos closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lagos lands in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Meteo is trying to control the position but Lagos postures up. Lagos must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lagos is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Nemesio Meteo just wasn't active enough. Meteo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Meteo looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Meteo darts in trying to clinch and Lagos counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Lagos passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lagos controlling from mount. Lagos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Meteo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Meteo can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lagos controlling the pace for now. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Meteo wants to hold on but Lagos pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lagos controlling his opponent.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Xander Lagos wasn't active enough on the ground. Meteo darts in trying to clinch and Lagos decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Meteo's guard. Xander Lagos has got the better of the ground game so far. Lagos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Meteo is keeping the position for now. Meteo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lagos controls the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Xander Lagos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Meteo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. A body shot lands from Lagos.
Lagos has Meteo pressed against the cage.
Meteo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lagos just stands there and leans against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lagos lands a takedown into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Nemesio Meteo. Meteo feints a jab promting Lagos to slip. Meteo then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lagos slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Meteo misses with a takedown and Lagos counters with a takedown into side control. Meteo wants to get back to his feet but Lagos is dominant here and he's now got Meteo's back! Meteo is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Meteo holding both Lagos 's hands and preventing any damage. Lagos not allowing Meteo to control his hands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Xander Lagos hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Meteo tries to clinch up and Lagos counters with a takedown into side control. Xander Lagos is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lagos prevents Meteo from escaping the position. Lagos controlling from side mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Xander Lagos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Lagos winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
