Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Teddy Roosevelt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kanye West! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roosevelt slips under a jab. Roosevelt looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A jab from Roosevelt misses. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from West. Roosevelt swings widly with a right hand
and West decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Roosevelt's guard. West missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. West slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. West has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. West trying to control but Roosevelt is working from the bottom. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. West engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Kanye West hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. West defending well as Roosevelt loads up on a big left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roosevelt scores with a hook.
It looks like Kanye West has been cut. Roosevelt lands with a good body shot. A punch combination from Roosevelt misses. Roosevelt throws a nice looking combination but West bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Teddy Roosevelt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. West changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Roosevelt tries to avoid it but West manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Roosevelt to the ground. Roosevelt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Roosevelt missing with a left hand there. West was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. West takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Teddy Roosevelt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. West with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
West feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Roosevelt's calf. Roosevelt looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Roosevelt scores with a jab. West misses with a takedown attempt - Roosevelt sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Teddy Roosevelt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kanye West. Roosevelt avoids the body shot from West.
No joy there for Roosevelt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
West shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Roosevelt pinned against the cage. Roosevelt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. West looks gassed! Roosevelt misses with a hook
and West counters with a low kick, right behind Roosevelt 's knee.

and West counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by West. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! West pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Roosevelt is keeping the position for now. Roosevelt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as West controls the pace. Roosevelt is looking to stand back up but West counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Roosevelt. Roosevelt is trying to maintain the position but West is very close to passing his half guard. Roosevelt pushes West off looking to stand but West dives back in and keeps control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. West tries to pass the half guard into mount. Roosevelt knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. West stalling away here and it's allowed Roosevelt to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Roosevelt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for West on the ground. West passes easily into side control. Nice work. Sloppy strikes there by West. West wants to control but Roosevelt is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sloppy strikes there by West. West trying to control the position but Roosevelt is working away. West tries to advance to mount but can't. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. West trying to control the action but Roosevelt is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kanye West will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kanye West's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
West falls off balance throwing a combination
and Roosevelt counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. West keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
West scores a takedown into full mount! West looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Roosevelt bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! West looking to control but Roosevelt passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roosevelt trying to mount his opponent but West defends it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. West looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are battling for position here. West manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Roosevelt wants to stand but West is controlling his posture from full guard. West is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Roosevelt defends well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Roosevelt trying to control the position from guard on top but West is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Roosevelt wanted to stand there but West had control of the position. West wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roosevelt looking to pass the guard. West pulls Roosevelt in close to his closed guard and prevents Roosevelt from doing any damage or advancing position. Roosevelt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We're going to have a standup here because Teddy Roosevelt wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. West shoots in but Roosevelt avoids the takedown attempt easily. Sloppy strikes from West. Those never looked like landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. West misses with a low kick. Roosevelt takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Roosevelt waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract West. Roosevelt dodges the punch combination from West.
West moves out of range of the strikes. Roosevelt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
West with a nice cross. Roosevelt will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Roosevelt doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Kanye West will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Kanye West's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by West.
Roosevelt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Roosevelt loads up on a big right hand but West slips the punch. West uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Roosevelt.

West fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Roosevelt manages to avoid it. West closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Roosevelt prevents West from moving into mount. West throwing shots but missing, from side control. A lull in the action here. West lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's one minute gone in the round. West wants to control but Roosevelt is keeping him busy. West is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Roosevelt will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Roosevelt takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. West scores with punches from side control. West goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Roosevelt has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for West but great work by Roosevelt. West struggling a bit here. West is looking to reverse the position. West is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. West controlling the position for now. Let's hope that West has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. West is pressing down on Roosevelt's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kanye West has got the better of the ground game so far. West lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Roosevelt! West controlling from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roosevelt really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Teddy Roosevelt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! West takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. West tries to control but Roosevelt wriggling away.
And that's the end of the fight! Kanye West comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got West winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
