The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Eddie Farnsworth and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meier tries a head kick but it misses.
Lynch gets a takedown into half guard.
Meier tries to kick Lynch off but Lynch keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Meier wants to sweep but Lynch has passed to side control!
Lynch wants to control but Meier is keeping him busy.
Lynch advances to full mount.

Meier is working to get back to half guard.
Lynch sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Lynch prevents Meier from getting the reversal.

Lynch goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Meier is on top in guard.
Lynch is pulling down on Meier's head. It's preventing any offense from Meier, at least for the moment.

Lynch's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We're going to have a standup here because Colbey Lynch wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Meier tries to land a body kick
and Lynch counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lynch drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lynch jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lynch stands and throws Meier's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Lynch is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Meier's shoulder. That is not cool.
Lynch lands some shots froms side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Meier takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Lynch shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Meier napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Meier is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lynch in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Meier is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
