The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heneco tries to clinch but fails miserably
letting Turpin counter with a right hand.
Turpin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Heneco looks to clinch
and Turpin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Heneco wants to clinch
and Turpin counters with a straight right hand.
Heneco fails with the takedown
and Turpin counters with a stiff right hand.
Turpin lands a lovely overhand right.

and Turpin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gaeten Heneco. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fighters circle momentarily. Turpin darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Heneco moves to clinch but Turpin breaks away
and Turpin counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Heneco shoots and misses

and Turpin counters with a left and a right that stings Heneco.
Heneco fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Turpin avoids it really well and circles away.
Heneco really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Heneco closes the distance but Turpin moves to the side
and Heneco takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Turpin lands a jab to the nose.
Heneco fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Turpin avoids it really well and circles away.
Heneco is breathing heavily.
Heneco has his takedown stuffed
and Turpin counters with a straight right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Heneco fails with the takedown
and Turpin counters with a series of strikes. Heneco will be more careful next time no doubt.
Turpin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A left lands for Turpin.
Heneco is rocked!
Gaeten Heneco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Turpin counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Heneco falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
