Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyson Gunderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Henley Harris!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunderson throws a head kick that misses.
Harris tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gunderson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Harris somewhat.
Gunderson cracks Harris with a good jab.
Harris misses with a takedown attempt
and Gunderson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gunderson misses with a double jab.
Gunderson lands a slapping body shot.
Gunderson scores with a decent looking hook.
Harris shoots in for a double leg but Gunderson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Tyson Gunderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henley Harris.
Sloppy strikes from Gunderson. Those never looked like landing.
No joy there for Gunderson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice takedown defense from Gunderson. No joy for Harris on that attempt.
Gunderson moves in looking to clinch but Harris pushes him off.
Gunderson with a lazy takedown attempt
and Harris counters with a shoot takedown. Gunderson fights it but they end up in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harris drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Harris jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Harris throwing strikes but missing.
Harris loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Harris is standing up over Gunderson. Gunderson looks to escape but Harris dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gunderson is not content to let Harris control the position.
Harris is working to tighten is grip on Gunderson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Gunderson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Harris is really squeezing tight and eventually Gunderson passes out! Harris breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
