Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ippo Makanouchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Swarowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Makanouchi comes to the cage accompanied by Inner Light by Schocking Lemon. Ippo Makanouchi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Chris Swarowski's chin.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swarowski moves out of range as Makanouchi strikes.
Swarowski wants to clinch up but Makanouchi keeps it at a distance.
Swarowski misses with a double jab
enabling Makanouchi to counter with a crisp jab.
A telegraphed right hand from Makanouchi misses the target.
Makanouchi throws a sloppy body shot
and Swarowski counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Swarowski moves into full mount! Makanouchi won't be happy about that!

It looks like Swarowski might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Swarowski's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Chris Swarowski wasn't active enough on the ground.
A big right from Makanouchi misses.
Makanouchi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Chris Swarowski has been cut.
Swarowski shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Chris Swarowski hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Makanouchi counters with a one-two to the body.
Makanouchi looks to land a combination but Swarowski avoids it well.
Makanouchi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Makanouchi misses with a double jab
and Swarowski counters with a takedown into side control.
Swarowski should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
You can see the frustration on Makanouchi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Makanouchi wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Swarowski decides to take the fight back to the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Chris Swarowski will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Makanouchi throws a body punch but Swarowski moves out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Swarowski is defended easily by Makanouchi.
Makanouchi drops Swarowski with a beautiful combination! Swarowski stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Makanouchi is looking for the KO!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Makanouchi gets caught flat footed, as Swarowski shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Makanouchi wants to sweep but no luck.

Swarowski gets to his feet - Makanouchi follows without any prompting.
Makanouchi connects with a body shot that sends Swarowski's belly button to the back.
Swarowski is breathing heavily.
Makanouchi bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Swarowski's head.
Makanouchi is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Donk. Makanouchi catches Swarowski right on the button with a cross.
That has opened up Chris Swarowski's cut even more.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Swarowski showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Makanouchi.
Swarowski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Makanouchi throws out the jab.
Makanouchi wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Swarowski takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Ippo Makanouchi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Swarowski moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Makanouchi goes for a small jab and connects. Now Makanouchi goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Swarowski stumbles back but Makanouchi runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Swarowski to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Swarowski will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ippo Makanouchi!
