Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Peterwhacker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drago comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the tiger. Peterwhacker is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Drago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Michael Peterwhacker!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Peterwhacker counters with a good low kick that Drago was not able to check.
Drago fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Peterwhacker checks it well.
Peterwhacker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Peterwhacker shoots in and drives through. Drago sprawls well.
The fight stays on the outside here - Peterwhacker looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Drago lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Peterwhacker!
Peterwhacker is looking to improve his position but Drago isn't that keen on the idea.

Drago goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Peterwhacker turns into him and now he's in Drago's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Ivan Drago will probably get the nod.

Drago got a little sloppy there for a moment and Peterwhacker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Drago has managed to get both his arms back between Peterwhacker's legs - danger averted.

Peterwhacker decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Peterwhacker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Drago with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Peterwhacker connects with a nice short shot to Drago's temple.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Well Peterwhacker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
