Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zion Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daryell Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzalez comes to the cage accompanied by St. Anger by Metallica. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zion Gonzalez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Wallace stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Gonzalez shoots in looking for a takedown but Wallace manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gonzalez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Wallace falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gonzalez counters with a nice uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gonzalez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wallace swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gonzalez makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Gonzalez changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Wallace swings for the body but Gonzalez moves out of range.
Wallace throws a right and a left that Gonzalez avoids nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wallace throws a lazy head kick
and Gonzalez counters with a shoot takedown. Wallace fights it but they end up in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Wallace can't keep his opponent in guard - Gonzalez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Gonzalez is working hard here to advance position.

Gonzalez is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Wallace tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Gonzalez manages to move to mount!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gonzalez wants to control the pace but Wallace is squirming around nicely.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gonzalez working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Wallace is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Gonzalez has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Wallace taps out!
