Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Connor Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Laboy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kelly's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, (When) Your Middle Name Is Danger. Laboy comes into a darkened arena with his song building. It's Amazing by Kanye West kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laboy shoots and misses
and Kelly counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Laboy fails with the takedown
and Kelly counters with a stiff right hand.
Kelly tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Laboy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kelly throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Laboy sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Kelly cracks Laboy with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kelly is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

and Kelly counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Laboy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Laboy swings for the body but Kelly moves out of range.

Laboy displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kelly throws out the jab.

Kelly shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Laboy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Laboy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Laboy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kelly works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Laboy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Laboy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kelly manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Laboy has Kelly in his guard.
Laboy wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Damian Laboy hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Kelly really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Laboy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Laboy has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Kelly defend it? Laboy steps over the head and cranks it - Kelly is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Laboy!
