Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bjj Spar!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Rob Sr!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spar has his takedown stuffed
and Rob Sr counters with a stiff right hand.
Spar pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rob Sr's guard.
Rob Sr keeping moving, preventing Spar from controlling successfully.
Rob Sr wants to get back to his feet but Spar is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Spar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rob Sr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Spar working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Rob Sr is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Spar is controlling him.
Spar wants to control from the top but Rob Sr keeps moving.
Spar stops Rob Sr from standing up.
Rob Sr has momentary wrist control but Spar slips an elbow through the middle.
Spar content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Spar is pushing down on Rob Sr's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rob Sr is fighting to maintain full guard but Spar has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rob Sr looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Rob Sr tries to kick Spar off but Spar keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Spar passes to full mount!
Spar looking to control but Rob Sr is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Spar loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Rob Sr scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Spar land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Spar stands and salutes the crowd.
