The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koine misses with a low kick.

Koine has closed the distance and engaged Beck in a clinch.
Beck throws a knee to the head but misses.

Beck manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Koine passes Beck's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Koine trying to control the action but Beck is working from the bottom.

Koine is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Beck has managed to free his arm - good work.
Koine uses his free foot to push down on Beck's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Beck.

Koine is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Koine extends the arm and Beck is forced to tap!
