Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinisa Veljko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is give it to em. Veljko is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Stemm - Face the pain. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ron John! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Sinisa Veljko! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! John takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Veljko takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Veljko misses with a body shot.
Veljko keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from John. Veljko gets a takedown into half guard. John is trying to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Veljko is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. John avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Veljko. John is looking to improve his position.
John tries to kick Veljko off but Veljko keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Veljko is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Veljko missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Veljko working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. John punching from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. John blocking the ground and pound attempt from Veljko. John is trying to maintain the position but Veljko is very close to passing his half guard. Veljko scoring with strikes to the body and head. John trying to control here.
John wants to improve his position but Veljko is controlling well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Veljko connects with a nice short shot to John's temple. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Veljko seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Veljko prevents John from standing back up.

John wants to get back to full guard. John has hold of Veljko's hands but Veljko slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. John is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. John taking some punishment here, with Veljko in his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. John has hold of Veljko's hands but Veljko slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Veljko looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks John with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Veljko trying to control the action but John is working from the bottom. John has hold of Veljko's hands but Veljko slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. John pulls Veljko in close trying to recover. Veljko postures up and lands two really hard shots that put John on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but John doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sinisa Veljko!
