Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jt Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think William might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Outlaw's Reward . There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James William! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jt Carter! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! William misses with a straight left. Carter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from William. William misses with a body shot.

Carter gets cracked with a nice right hand there by William. William throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Carter thows a body shot but no joy. Carter bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. The fighters circle momentarily. William darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Carter throws a leg kick that is checked and William counters with a lovely shot to the body. Carter takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. William dips to his left and cracks Carter with an uppercut! Carter takes a swing at William's ribcage but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. William dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Carter throws a body kick that misses. William misses with a straight left. William connects with a crisp jab. William avoids the head kick by Carter.

and Carter finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. William avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
William throws the left hand but Carter avoids the punch easily. William connects with the punch. A low kick from Carter is predictable there and William cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Carter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. William is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Carter just misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter misses with a body kick. William lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carter circles away quickly and effectively. Carter tries to clinch up and William counters with a good low kick that Carter was not able to check. William throws a jab but it's blocked by Carter. William throws a sloppy head kick and Carter moves out of range easily. William avoids the body shot from Carter.

and William makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. William feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Carters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Carter walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. William gets tackled into the cage by Carter. Carter maintains the clinch. William makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. William lands with a right to the head. Carter using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

William throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Carters head. William takes a knee to the side of the body. With the fighters clinched against the cage, William creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. William blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Carter lands a nice knee to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Carter is fighting off a takedown attempt but William is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Carter to the mat. Carter regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. William is breathing heavily. William is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. William looking to pass the guard. William preventing the sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. William thows a big elbow that misses. William throwing strikes from guard but Carter blocks nicely. William postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carter keeping moving, preventing William from controlling successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. That was a close round but I would say that James William will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

letting Carter counter with a right hand. William misses with an uppercut. Donk. William catches Carter right on the button with a cross. William closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Carter parries the strikes from William easily there. William is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Carter to escape.
William is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Carter's shoulder. That is not cool. William's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Carter managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by William.

William tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! William is trying to escape the mount.
Carter is in the full mount, landing strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Carter cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

William regains half guard. William is pressing down on Carter's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Carter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Carter wants to control from the top but William keeps moving. Carter stands up out of William's guard for a moment - William manages to land a nice upkick. There's a bit of a scramble here and now William is on top in guard.
William lands a couple of elbows. Carter looking to hit a scissor sweep but William is one step ahead there. William stands up over Carter, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. William throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Carter works some decent striking defense from the bottom. William trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. William trying to control the position from guard on top but Carter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. William with a flurry of punches that miss. William trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carter can do anything to dispel that myth. William in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. William is looking to work some ground and pound but Carter has wrist control. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Carter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from William. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. William throws a big right hand that misses. William with a flurry of punches that miss. William landing with the ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells William's corner. There ya go! There ya go! William throwing strikes from guard but Carter blocks nicely. William loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. William drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and William jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. William pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carter is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James William dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

William throws a leg kick which misses Carter's front leg but catches the back leg as Carter tries to avoid it. William tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carter was well out of range. Poor timing from William. A left lands for William. Nice body punch from William. Jt Carter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but William paws at him with a jab and circles away. William lands with an overhand left. William keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
William throws out a loose jab but Carter uses good head movement to avoid it. William takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Carter is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down William rather than just go for the knockout. Carter tries a head kick but it misses.
William is looking to clinch. James William seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. William walks forward, straight into a front kick from Carter. A head kick misses from Carter. William throws out a loose jab but Carter uses good head movement to avoid it. Carter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but William was well out of range. Poor timing from Carter.

"Ole!" shouts Carter as he jumps to the side. William fails to land the takedown. William blocks a head kick by Carter.
William misses with a low kick. William looks to throw the jab but Carter is out of range. William fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carter manages to avoid it. William gets in close and instigates a clinch. Stalling in the clinch from William.
Carter lands a nice elbow from the clinch. William blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Jt Carter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Carter's guard. William lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. William throwing shots but Carter is blocking nicely. William wants to pass the guard but Carter is defending well. Carter has hold of William's hands but William slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. William missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. William is controlling the pace.
William is nestled in close to Carter, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. James William is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. William not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. William lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Carter is trying to defend against the ground and pound but William scores with a couple of nice shots. William throwing shots but Carter is blocking nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! James William showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for William, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
