Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Numbah Baller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Numbah Baller is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Evans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Numbah Baller! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans scores with a jab. Baller acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Baller looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Evans will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Evans throws a one two combo.
Baller is rocked! Evans moves into the clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Evans lands with a light punch inside. Baller is still on wobbly legs! Can Evans finish him? Evans lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Baller backwards. Evans breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Evans throws a right and a left that both miss. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Evans. Baller shrugs it off though. Baller seems to have recovered his senses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Evans just misses with a punch to the body.
Evans closes the distance and clinches. Evans's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. A short uppercut from Evans. Baller wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Evans crunches a lovely knee into Baller's ribcage. Evans scores with a hook to the body. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Evans. Evans escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's one minute gone in the round. Evans pushes Baller back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Evans lands a shot to the body. Evans breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Evans connects with a jab. Baller shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Evans as he jumps to the side. Numbah Baller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Baller shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Evans as he jumps to the side. Evans fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Baller, pushing him back against the cage. Evans jumps into guard, dragging Baller to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baller chips away with some ground and pound. Evans is pulling down on Baller's head. It's preventing any offense from Baller, at least for the moment. Evans knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Baller on the ground. Baller prevents Evans from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baller trying to control the position from guard on top but Evans is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Baller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Evans had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Baller is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Evans Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Baller's back instead. Baller tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Evans controlling the position easily from mount. Baller has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Baller is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baller is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Evans controlling from mount. Baller throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Evans landing strikes from the mount. Evans tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Evans's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The referee warns Baller that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Baller is looking to improve his position but Evans isn't that keen on the idea. Evans with a couple of short strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Evans takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Chris Evans just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Baller tries for a takedown but Evans sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Chris Evans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Numbah Baller. Evans lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Baller is breathing heavily. Evans closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Evans cracks Baller with a nice body shot. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Evans takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Evans breaks the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Baller shoots in for a double leg but Evans sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Evans takes the fight into the clinch. Evans breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Evans has managed to clinch.

Baller is trying to break the clinch but Evans has him pressed against the cage. Baller jumps guard but Evans stands there with Baller around his waist. Baller gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Baller has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Evans is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Evans breaks from the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Evans looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Evans has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Baller tries to keep at a distance but Evans has taken the fight into the clinch. Evans stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Evans looking to control and managing it successfully. Evans is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Baller can do to turn this around? Baller is in all sorts of trouble here.

Evans tries to clinch but Baller is having none of it. Baller doesn't succeed with the takedown and Evans counters with a three punch combo that has Baller backing up. Baller nods at Evans to acknowledge the strikes. Baller fails with the takedown and Evans cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Evans clinches with his opponent.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A left and a right from Evans both land. Nice combination. Baller has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Evans finds it's way round the side to connect with Baller's head.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Evans showed his dominance in that final round. Well Evans has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
