PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darian Gorman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hed Clobberer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gorman comes into the arena with Droppin plates blaring out of the sound system. Hed Clobberer told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darian Gorman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hed Clobberer!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Clobberer scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Gorman tries to buck Clobberer off but Clobberer is having none of it.
Clobberer lands some shots froms side control.

Gorman pushes Clobberer away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Clobberer gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The referee asks Clobberer politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Clobberer prefers to stall for the moment though.
Gorman on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Gorman is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Clobberer asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Clobberer is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gorman knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Clobberer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Clobberer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clobberer lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.


Gorman is rocked!
Gorman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Clobberer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Clobberer slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Gorman is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Clobberer off. It looks like it's working - Clobberer slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Gorman displaying calm under pressure there.

Clobberer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Clobberer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hed Clobberer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Gorman dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Clobberer. That did some damage!
