Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ian Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ian Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dean Stevens!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens takes a swing at Brown's ribcage but misses.
Brown doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Stevens tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Brown counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Stevens uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brown.
Stevens throws a wild body kick that Brown sees coming a mile off.

Stevens closes the distance and clinches.
Stevens misses with a knee strike.
Brown has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Stevens trying to land knees to the body.
Stevens is trying to maintain a safe position but Brown gets an underhook and turns Stevens into the cage.
Stevens tries to score a body lock takedown but Brown shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Stevens tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Brown's elbow.
Stevens throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Brown blocks it with crossed arms.
Stevens is trying to drag Brown to the mat but Brown just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Brown lands with a nice body punch.

Brown throws a lazy right hand but Stevens sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Stevens is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Brown scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stevens.
Brown throws a hook to the side of Stevens's head but Stevens sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Stevens closes the distance and clinches up with Brown, looking for a takedown. Stevens pushes Brown against the cage but Brown circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Stevens is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Brown gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Brown tries to circle away but Stevens has him pinned against the cage.
Stevens unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Brown is trying to break the clinch but Stevens is controlling him.
Stevens goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Stevens drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brown pulls his leg out and moves away.
Stevens shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brown as he avoids it easily.
Brown lands a really nice looking cross but Stevens seems unphased.
Brown throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Stevens shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Stevens was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Stevens looking to ground and pound but Brown is blocking nicely.

Stevens is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Brown can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Brown is squirming around, avoiding Stevens's attempts to control the action.
Brown is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Brown avoids a series of strikes thrown by Stevens.
Brown's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Brown really wants to buck Stevens off and get back to his feet.

Stevens throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Brown because Stevens loaded up on that one.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brown on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brown tries to get out of the position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stevens throws a predictable looking body shot

and Brown counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Brown needs to keep his hands up - Stevens had a free shot at his head there.

Stevens throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brown tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Stevens is in Brown's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ian Brown.
I think Stevens has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
