Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fantasmo McKracken! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jermaine Watson! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McKracken shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Watson but Watson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Watson has taken the fight to the clinch.
McKracken wants a takedown but no success here.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fantasmo McKracken. That's going to take a lot out of him. McKracken has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Watson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. McKracken wants to get back to striking at distance but Watson won't allow it.
Watson works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
McKracken drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Watson gets the underhooks and prevents it.

McKracken is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. McKracken is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Watson wants to stand but McKracken has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Watson controlling from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McKracken tries to land a sweep but no joy. Watson wanted to stand there but McKracken had control of the position. Watson trying to control the position from guard on top but McKracken is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McKracken is looking for a triangle but Watson pushes his legs off easily.
McKracken is breathing heavily. McKracken trying to keep a closed guard but Watson is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. McKracken looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Watson trying to control but McKracken is working from the bottom. Watson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Watson trying to control the position from guard on top but McKracken is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McKracken keeping full guard, as Watson tries to pass. McKracken had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Watson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. McKracken Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Watson's back instead. Watson trying to control the position but McKracken manages to sink in the hooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McKracken keeps control of the position as Watson tries to break free.

McKracken wants to get back to his feet but Watson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Watson looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McKracken controls Watson momentarily but Watson frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Watson is pushing down on McKracken's leg trying to pass to half guard. McKracken is fighting to maintain full guard but Watson has managed to sneak the leg through. McKracken is trying to control but can't.
McKracken is looking for a sweep. Watson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. McKracken is staying active underneath Watson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Watson prevents McKracken from improving his position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. McKracken showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Watson.
Watson is looking to clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McKracken tries to clinch but Watson moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Fantasmo McKracken will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
McKracken shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than McKracken was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! McKracken jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Watson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Watson and McKracken has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's one minute gone in the round. McKracken tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McKracken has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! McKracken works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Watson stops McKracken from passing to mount. Watson is looking for a sweep. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Watson can do anything to dispel that myth. McKracken has knee on belly and moves into mount. Watson is breathing heavily. Watson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McKracken sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. McKracken stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Nice sprawl there from Watson as McKracken shoots in. McKracken drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McKracken sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Watson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Watson is not content to let McKracken control the position. Watson can't do much from the bottom here. McKracken trying to control the position but Watson is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Watson is looking to reverse the position. McKracken trying to control the action but Watson is working from the bottom. Watson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McKracken. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. McKracken tries to move to mount but Watson blocks the move with his legs.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Watson throws a series of punches but McKracken moves out of range. Fantasmo McKracken is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. McKracken closes the distance and clinches up with Watson, looking for a takedown. McKracken pushes Watson against the cage but Watson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Excellent takedown into side control there by McKracken. McKracken is looking to take a break and control but Watson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. McKracken scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Watson to see if he's OK. McKracken has hold of Watson's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Watson seems comfortable defending it but McKracken has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Watson is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Watson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but McKracken couldn't care less - he's delighted!
