Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Golanski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Russell! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Russell misses with a takedown attempt and Golanski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Golanski thows a body shot but no joy. Russell with a poor takedown and Golanski connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Russell fails with the takedown and Golanski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Adam Golanski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Russell. Russell scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Golanski parries the strikes from Russell easily there. Russell is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Golanski to escape.
Russell throws a strike aimed at the side of Golanski's head but Golanski avoids it well. Russell lands a nice forearm strike. Russell is looking to take a break and control but Golanski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Russell misses with the ground and pound. Russell trying to control the position but Golanski is working away. Russell wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Golanski, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Russell trying to control the action but Golanski is working from the bottom. Russell working away. The ground and pound from Russell seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Golanski regains half guard, as Russell was trying to land strikes. Russell with the ground and pound but Golanski uses the opportunity to regain guard. Russell throwing strikes from guard but Golanski blocks nicely. Russell stopping the sweep attempt from Golanski. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Golanski is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Russell with a flurry of punches that miss. Russell is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Golanski is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Golanski has escaped and now he's on top! Russell looking for a sweep. Not yet Russell, not yet. Russell being controlled here, momentarily. Russell has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Golanski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Russell keeping moving, preventing Golanski from controlling successfully. Russell looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Russell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Golanski pushes down on Russell's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Russell is looking to improve his position.
Russell is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Golanski content to control rather than advance. Golanski is keen to just control but Russell is a slippery customer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Adam Golanski will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Adam Golanski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Russell. Golanski throws a head punch that misses. Golanski lands with a left to the head. Golanski lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Russell or not. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Golanski takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Russell fails to pull guard.
Golanski manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. Golanski working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Golanski's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Russell jumps guard but Golanski stands there with Russell around his waist. Russell gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Still in the clinch, Golanski scores with a nice short uppercut. Golanski breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Russell moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Russell doesn't succeed with the takedown and Golanski counters with a crisp right that sends Russell to the canvas! Golanski follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adam Golanski!
