The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atajev throws a low kick but Angel moves out of range easily.
Atajev misses with a wild body shot.

Angel moves into the clinch.

Angel has hold of one of Atajev's legs. Atajev is fighting the takedown attempt but Angel gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Atajev escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Angel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Angel sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Atajev's guard.
