Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cody Senseney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Kome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kome is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by SHOOT TO KILL. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cody Senseney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Kome! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Anthony Taglia and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kome falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Senseney counter with a right hand. Kome wants to clinch but Senseney slips to the side letting Senseney counter with a right hand. Kome misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Senseney. Senseney moves into the clinch. Senseney wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kome has him pressed against the cage. Senseney trying to land knees to the body.
Senseney tries a knee to the head but Kome blocks it.
Senseney is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Kome wants to break the clinch but can't.
Senseney breaks the clinch.
Senseney closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Senseney performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Senseney wants to take a breather but Kome is having none of it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Cody Senseney. Senseney shoots for a takedown but Kome saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Senseney changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kome tries to avoid it but Senseney manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kome to the ground. Kome escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cody Senseney. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kome tries to clinch but fails miserably and Senseney counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Senseney. Kome wants to stand but Senseney is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Senseney trying to control but Kome is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kome working for a triangle but Senseney defends it easily.
Kome really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Senseney. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Senseney stays in close to Kome's body and controls the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Cody Senseney just wasn't active enough. Senseney has a takedown stuffed. Kome throws a left and a right that both miss
and Senseney counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Senseney trying to control but Kome is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Senseney advances position into side control! Kome looks gassed! Kome gets back to half guard. Senseney takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Senseney tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kome knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Senseney sitting and controlling from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cody Senseney dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kome shoots and misses and Senseney counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Senseney. Senseney thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Senseney slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Kome is breathing heavily.

and Senseney decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kome's guard. Cody Senseney overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Senseney wants to control from the top but Kome keeps moving. Senseney slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Senseney's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Senseney seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kome for as long as he can get away with.

He catches Kome napping and manages to drive through into side control! Senseney controls the position. Senseney tries for a kimura but Kome is defending well. Senseney controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Senseney has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cody Senseney has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Senseney shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kome defends it nicely. Kome swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Senseney counters with a nice body shot. Senseney avoids the head kick by Kome.
Senseney misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Senseney tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kome swivels and escapes. Senseney shoots in and drives through. Kome sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cody Senseney. That's going to take a lot out of him. A head kick misses from Kome. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cody Senseney dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Cody Senseney wasn't doing enough on the ground. Senseney drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Senseney slows the pace down. Kome is looking to regain half guard here but Senseney keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Senseney wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kome, who protects the arm well. Senseney is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kome has escaped the position, nice work there. Kome being controlled for a moment. Senseney is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kome can do to turn this around?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kome is looking to regain half guard here but Senseney keeps moving and retains side control. Senseney works to advance to full mount. Kome defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Senseney takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Senseney looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Senseney looking to control and managing it successfully. Senseney avoids the attempt from Kome to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Cody Senseney showed his dominance in that final round. Well Senseney has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
