Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcos Aleluia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones's entrance music is kung fu fighting. A fine choice. Matthew Jones has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Matthew Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marcos Aleluia! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aleluia scores a takedown into full mount! Aleluia with shots to the head and body - Jones looks very uncomfortable down there. Aleluia content just to control the position here. Aleluia can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jones is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones can't escape the position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Aleluia swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jones is now in Aleluia's guard. A big mistake from Aleluia there, giving up the dominant position! Aleluia looking for a sweep. Not yet Aleluia, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Aleluia is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Marcos Aleluia hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Aleluia counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Aleluia stops Jones from standing up. Aleluia wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position. Aleluia trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Aleluia not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Aleluia must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Marcos Aleluia has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Aleluia shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jones manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Aleluia gets to his feet. Jones looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Aleluia tries to grapple but his opponent circles so Jones counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Aleluia working a defensive guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Aleluia is keeping the position for now. Jones thows a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aleluia is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Aleluia missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Aleluia wants to pass to mount but Jones is defending the position. Aleluia not landing any meaningful shots this time. Aleluia is pressing down on Jones's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jones is holding on for now. Aleluia tries to stand but his arm is trapped. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcos Aleluia dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Aleluia closes the distance looking to clinch and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Aleluia didn't expect that. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Aleluia can do anything to dispel that myth. Aleluia working a defensive guard but Jones manages to pass into side control anyway.
Aleluia tries to improve position but can't. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Aleluia is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Aleluia is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it. Aleluia is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jones's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Aleluia is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jones pulls his head out easily. Jones wants to control but Aleluia is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aleluia blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones. Aleluia wants to get back to his feet. Marcos Aleluia has got the better of the ground game so far. Aleluia regains full guard. Nicely done. Jones landing some decent shots from guard. Aleluia thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Aleluia tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jones makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Jones trying to stand up but can't free himself from Aleluia's guard. Jones throws a strike but Aleluia rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Aleluia stops Jones from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aleluia seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Aleluia stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aleluia shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jones counters with a nice body kick.
Aleluia doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jones makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Nice shot by Jones. Aleluia with a lazy takedown attempt and Jones counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Matthew Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcos Aleluia. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Aleluia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Aleluia trying to control the position.
Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jones is in close to Aleluia's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aleluia manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.
Aleluia is looking to advance position but Jones has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Jones raining down shots from the mount! Jones landing strikes from the mount. Aleluia is in a horrible position here. Jones smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Aleluia tries to hold on but Jones pushes him away. Jones punishing his opponent with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matthew Jones dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Aleluia gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Jones tries for a takedown but Aleluia circles away easily and Aleluia counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jones! Jones regains half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Aleluia sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jones defending well though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aleluia prevents Jones from standing back up.
Aleluia wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working. Aleluia tries to pass to full mount but Jones defends it. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Aleluia connects with a nice short shot to Jones's temple.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Aleluia wants to advance to full mount but Jones doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Aleluia slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Aleluia is working Jones over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Jones can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Aleluia controls the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aleluia trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.

Jones stops Aleluia from passing to mount. Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't. Aleluia moves into full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aleluia sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Aleluia punishing his opponent with strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Aleluia controlling from the full mount. Jones tries to hold on but Aleluia postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! Marcos Aleluia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Aleluia has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
