The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dammon bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Oliveira's head.
Matt Dammon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oliveira with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dammon to score with a decent uppercut.

Dammon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dammon scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Oliveira ducks straight into an uppercut from Dammon and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Oliveira manages to regain guard straight away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dammon engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Oliveira can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dammon wants to stand but Oliveira is controlling his posture from full guard.

Dammonis looking to pass into half guard but Oliveira pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Oliveira is in guard.
Oliveira drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Oliveira jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dammon wants to sweep here but Oliveira controlling him for the moment.

Matt Dammon dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Oliveira takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Oliveira needs to keep his hands up - Dammon had a free shot at his head there.
Oliveira throws a series of punches but Dammon moves out of range.
Nice defenses there by Oliveira.
Oliveira gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Oliveira on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Oliveira takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Dammon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dammon connects with a body shot that sends Oliveira's belly button to the back.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Oliveira in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Oliveira is breathing heavily.
Dammon throws an overhand right that lands on Oliveira's shoulder, as Oliveira tries to avoid the shot.

Dammon cracks Oliveira with a hook to the temple - Oliveira is on wobbly legs here! Dammon swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Oliveira falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Dammon wins by TKO!
