The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
graham tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mestermand swivels and escapes.
graham shoots for a double leg takedown but Mestermand sprawls well. He's pushed graham's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mestermand scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

graham is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Mestermand pulls his head out easily.
Mestermand throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
graham is trying to maintain the position but Mestermand is very close to passing his half guard.
Mestermand content to control rather than advance.
graham is trying to control but can't.
Mestermand looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Mestermand not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Mestermand knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for graham on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mestermand.

graham shoots for a takedown but Mestermand saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jens Mestermand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of josh graham.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Mestermand! graham is out on his feet! Mestermand rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - graham is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! graham is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
