Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Torsten Stalhandske (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Ferro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stalhandske comes to the cage accompanied by Jean Sibelius - Finlandia. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Torsten Stalhandske!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Bruno Ferro!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stalhandske takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Stalhandske displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ferro.
A head kick misses from Ferro.
Ferro has a takedown stuffed.
Ferro shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stalhandske as he avoids it easily.
Torsten Stalhandske has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruno Ferro.

and Ferro counters with a nice uppercut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ferro is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Torsten Stalhandske is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Stalhandske throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ferro on the side of the head.

Stalhandske throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Ferro fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Ferro takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ferro takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ferro jabs Stalhandske to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Ferro throws a lazy uppercut
and Stalhandske counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ferro thinking.

enabling Stalhandske to counter with a crisp jab.
Stalhandske on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Stalhandske is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ferro can do to turn this around?
Ferro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stalhandske tries to avoid it but Ferro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stalhandske to the ground. Stalhandske escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Ferro might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Stalhandske has got the better of the exchanges.

Ferro's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Stalhandske fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ferro has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Ferro pivots, looking for a leg kick but Stalhandske is out of range and Ferro settles back down.

Stalhandske walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ferro checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

A decent looking cross lands there for Stalhandske.
Stalhandske defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ferro.
Stalhandske connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Ferro is trying desperately to land a takedown but Stalhandske is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Ferro.

Ferro lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ferro closes the distance and clinches up with Stalhandske, looking for a takedown. Ferro pushes Stalhandske against the cage but Stalhandske circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Torsten Stalhandske has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruno Ferro.

Stalhandske jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Ferro shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Ferro goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Stalhandske turns into him and now he's in Ferro's guard.

Stalhandske got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ferro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stalhandske has managed to get both his arms back between Ferro's legs - danger averted.
Ferro wants to sweep but no luck.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ferro is looking for a triangle here but Stalhandske uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Stalhandske remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Stalhandske pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ferro swings for the body but Stalhandske moves out of range.
Ferro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Ferro is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Stalhandske's half guard.
Stalhandske moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Ferro tries to free his leg and advance position but Stalhandske is retaining full guard.
Ferro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ferro is fighting to break Stalhandske's control of his arms but Stalhandske is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Stalhandske has control of Ferro's left arm, preventing Ferro from doing any damage.

Torsten Stalhandske has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Stalhandske.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ferro throws an off balance right hand
and Stalhandske counters with an outside leg kick.
Stalhandske pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ferro takes one on the button.
Ferro is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Stalhandske takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ferro stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Stalhandske.
Stalhandske misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Ferro feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Stalhandske is pulling down on Ferro's head. It's preventing any offense from Ferro, at least for the moment.

Ferro drops back, looking for a kneebar! Stalhandske looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Stalhandske looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Stalhandske!
Ferro tries to buck Stalhandske off but Stalhandske is having none of it.
Stalhandske is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ferro will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ferro is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Stalhandske off and has taken his back!

Ferro has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Stalhandske! Can he survive? No! He's out! Ferro gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Bruno Ferro!
